9 days till I head to the ABC National Amat. Championship and I can't wait. I will be running both of my liver dual champions myself in the Amat. I am 1 of 5 female handlers this year and 1 of 2 with multiple entries! Who else is going?

I'm not going to the field event, but I'll be rooting you on from home! Text me, if you can, how it goes, I'll be curious!
Best of luck! Show them what the woman can do! ;-P

I wish!!! Went to Ionia, MI for Open Gun Dog Nationals this year (was my first year) and had an awesome time!!! Blaze requalified 2 weeks ago to go back in 2009 and I can't wait to go back!
My baby girl, Chloe (Woodland's Money Pit) will most probably wind up an AA dog so with a little luck we'll be out there in a couple years. Now all I have to do is get the BF on a horse and teach him to ride by then so I have a scout :-)

We won't be there, as we only run Gundog. One of our Rusty pups from her first litter will be there. "AFC Jake The Blue Collar Giant MH". He is owned and handled by Chad Connor. Jake ran in The Gundog Nationals in 2006, then Chad decided to concentrate more on All Age.
GOOD LUCK to everyone that's going. Your dogs are all winners!

From the sounds of it (as per jessica on the brittany list) they are having some good braces down there at Booneville. After day two there are 8 dogs on the board.........................sounds like the judges will have there work cut out for them as there will be several to choose from.

Though I did not run the winning dog in the Amat myself, I did have fun with my two liver boys, and I had the great honor and privelege of scouting this years National Amat All Age Champion Maxwell's Blew By You! Thanks to Terry Maxwell and his dog Chuck for letting me share in their day! Laura Wilder Touch of Class Ranch

Well, the preliminary report I hear from Booneville today is that Major had a nice race and a clean covey find on course one this morning so big fingers cross for his name on the bulletin board this afternoon. As for Chuck's brace it was quite stunning in my opinion. There were minimal times that as the scout I ever had tabs on the dog because like a good dog he was to the front. He had three gorgeous covey finds, his final find being at 55 minutes just before the bridge. Chuck had plenty of go at the end of the hour and I lamed my horse trying to keep up with him. FYI horse is fine now. I knew that Chuck had done an amazing job and was thrilled that Terry allowed me to be a part of it. This was the second championship that I had scouted Chuck to and it was even more exciting the second time around. Please send the positive vibes for the old man as today was his very last AKC competition and he is now officially retired. Major has been a hell of a dog and we are so grateful for everything that he has given us! Laura Wilder Touch of Class Ranch
