What height ex pen can contain Britt pups? I'm looking into getting a pen for an upcoming litter and want to make sure I get the right height, so we dont have any little escapees! ;-)

I have the 36 inch what you can also do if you can find some 48 inch break them down to 2 sections to use as a capper
for the most part most pups do not figure out how to climb out...but...I ahve had a few that did figure out had one she would climb to the top when she was 4 weeks old 3 weeks later she figured out how to be super dog
So I have a few pens and have the toppers to them a few snaps and you can open one side as you need PS i think it is Petco that has the better pens...One has a hole in the panel for a gate requiing you to crawl through the other one has the panel in like a U shape which is open on the top part where you can walk through when you open the gate
trust me you want tht one crawling through is a serious pain should you need to get in the pen
and another thing is put the gate not facing directly the way you approach the pen all the time either this way the pups will jump up in the usual spot making it a bit easier for you to get in the pen when needed also helps pups to figure they way around things

You also want to make sure that the pen is tall enough that the bitch isn't trying to jump in and out. If the gets out it isn't that big a deal but when she tries to get back in she may not be capable, or may land on a pup by accident. That is why we use 48" pens like the ones we take to shows for our britts so mom stays put too. Though a sneaky bitch will get out anyway, haha. Laura Wilder Touch of Class Ranch
