I am curious to know how many of you have had a Hydro Pup? I just recently had to euthanize one from my last litter. I know it is very common in toy breeds, but I am curious to know how many of you Brittany Breeders have had one. I know breeders don't like to talk about genetic abnormalities, but, if we are going to be educated about it, we can not just sweep it under the rug. We, as responsible, ethical breeders need to talk about it (JMHO). Rest in peace Speedy, you are now out of pain. He is on the right, sticking his tongue out. Speedy (9/22/-08--11/11/08)

No, I did not. I thought about it, but with all the turmoil I was going through, it slipped my mind. I know, I am part of the problem, too.

It is a condition more common in the Apple headed breeds such as Chihuahuas and Pommies. As hard as the decision was to make, rest assured that it was a decision of the utmost in humane kindness and love. Most Hydro pups don't make it very long anyways.
