I'm about to get started as a junior, my mom is teaching me how to handle/show/groom Brittanys. I'm also about to own a 5-yr-old female. Does anyone have any advice about that would help for easy handling or any advice at all for a junior??

First off welcome to our sport. The most important thing is to have fun! If it isn't fun than neither you nor the dog will shine. Try to work for a pro if you can. Every dog you hold outside a ring, every armband number you pick up just familiarizes you with the process that much faster. Good luck and have fun, Laura Wilder Touch of Class Ranch

I agree with Laura. And it always helps to have a dog that already knows the ropes of the show ring when you are first starting out. And a dog that enjoys showing and is flashy. Check out the message board at www.bestjunior.com thats an awesome friendly site, very active message board. You can talk with some other juniors and get some info there. And I just noticed this is Kayla right?! Welcome! Whos the 5yr old female you're going to show?
