I was wondering what kind of food everyone feeds. I feed my dog pedigree small adult brand it is pretty reasonably priced and it is way better than my old food. My dog really likes it and he can go all day in the field hunting. I have tried several brands of high dollar food like eukanubee and purina but I think it is all hype and not worth paying big money for something that isn't much better than pedigree. What kinds of food do you guys feed?

Both of my Brittanys are eating Purina Pro Plan- Sensitive Skin and Stomach. They don't have any skin or stomach issues but I love it for the Omega fatty acids and the fish oils. Makes their coats nice and shiny. Alot of Brittanys do well on Purina Pro Plan.
If you remember the pet food recalls of last year. Purina was one of the major manufacturers that was NOT on the recall list.

i tried purina once and it gave my dog the runs. It was expensive too. I think i paid like almost 20.00 for a big bag of it, and then my dog got diarhea so i gave it away to my neighbor who had great danes. His dogs did good on it but my friend said it was just too expensive to feed everyday.

Purina pro plan is my choice. Start slowly with a mixture of your old food and new food when switching brands. A change in diet (i.e, higher fat or protein content) will often give the runs to the dogs. Ken

I feed Purina Pro Plan right now, though Im looking into a different food. My Britt has a sensitive stomach, and I dont feel the food is doing much for her condition. My other 3 dogs (2 mutts and a Dachshund) look great though!
A friend of mine has started feeding her toy breeds Natural Balance and loves it. It has better ingredients, no artificial coloring or flavor, no corn, etc.

Just about a week ago we changed the dogs to Natural Balance Premium. Too early to get physical results, but I tell ya, the dogs LOVE it. They are normally very picky eaters and wont touch plain dog food...but they dive into this!

I have always been a big advocate of Purina One Lamb and Rice myself, but we were just introduced to the new performance feed made by Nutrena and it is amazing my dog who has always looked like he stuck his tongue in a electrical outlet has coat that is soft and laying down now. The Nutrena is also more competitively priced than the Purina for which we can all be grateful. Laura Wilder Touch of Class Ranch

I feed eagle adult formula, and Missing Link minerals. And for the female she still gets a bit of the Eagle puppy, as she is on the small size.
